Eudy Bernardo vs. Jose GonzalezUndefeated lightweight standout, Eudy “AK 47” Bernardo (13-0, 8 KOs), who hails from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, will travel to hostile territory and fight Jose Gonzalez (20-0, 15 KOs) who resides in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico.  Both fighters will put their undefeated records on the line as they battle for the WBC Latino Lightweight title. This 10-round bout is promoted by PR Best Boxing Promotions in association with Boxing 360 and will take place on October 6, 2012 at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez, in Bayamon, PR. Fighting for his first sanctioned title, Bernardo who’s a dynamic boxer-puncher is excited for the opportunity to fight for the WBC Latino lightweight title.  Having won his last two fights by knockout, Eudy understands this fight will be his toughest challenge to date. “I know when I step in the ring with Jose Gonzalez it’s going to be a war,” said Bernardo. “He’s fighting in his homeland and he’s going to do everything in his power to please his fans.  He’s coming off a couple of knockouts so I expect him to be aggressive in this fight.  I’m in great shape and will be prepared for anything Gonzalez brings to the ring. I don’t expect this fight to go the distance.” “This is the type of fight that makes boxing the greatest sport on the planet,” stated Boxing 360 promoter Mario Yagobi, who promotes Bernardo. “When two young hungry undefeated fighters are scheduled to face each other, it’s the fans that benefit the most.  Eudy Bernardo is a special fighter who brings nothing but excitement to the ring and this fight will prove he’s a blue chip prospect.” Jose Gonzalez has never fought outside of his native land of Puerto Rico and will have the hometown crowd on his side.  If Bernardo is successful in winning this fight, it will be a remarkable feat having traveled to a place where a fighter has never lost. “There is no doubt about it if Bernardo comes out victorious, he’ll be considered one of the best young prospects in boxing,” continued Yagobi. “I know Gonzalez is going to do everything he can to win this fight, but I anticipate a hard fought victory for my fighter, Eudy Bernardo.” For more information on Donyil Livingstion and Boxing 360 please visit www.boxing360.com
