What a fun weekend of fights. Sure, all the winners on Showtime were predictable. We know this. But the fights were fun. Erislandy Lara got extended the way we predicted. Gary Russell, Jr showed he has the fastest hands in boxing and Cornelius Bundrage showed he might have something for Saul Alvarez.  Here is a fight report from EastsideBoxing.com about Golden Boy’s card this Saturday:

Bundrage looked solid in defeating a faded Cory Spinks. But will he have enough to defeat Canelo should he secure the September 15 date? Check out what Dan Ambrose of Boxingnews24.com had to say:

On the outside looking in Erislandy Lara won as expected but is being passed over for the fight with Saul Alvarez. Fight fans, who do you want to see him fight next?

And finally over on Examiner.com, Dennis “D Source” Guillermo writes an interesting piece regarding all the stuff going on with drug testing and the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather defamation suits.

All in all, an eventful weekend with more to come from the greatest sport of all.
