The Reliant Arena, Houston, TX

Showtime

Diego Magdaleno
Diego Magdaleno

Diego Magdaleno (21-0) vs. Fernando Beltran Jr (36-7-1)

Boxing360’s Pick: Magdaleno is on the verge of a title shot. He looks better and better each time out. No way his people let him lose at this point. Not to a late replacement fighter. Magdaleno takes an early lead, rips the body of Beltran up en route to that lead, and closes the show like a champ to win by TKO.

Yordenis Uga
Yordenis Uga

Yordenis Ugas (11-0) vs. Juan Garcia (11-0)

Boxing360’s Pick: I like Ugas. I know he was a little bit boring in his last TV fight but he has the tools and talent to be something special. Both men are undefeated by Ugas is the class here. Ugas by UD.

The Pharr Convention Center, Pharr, TX

ESPN2

Antwone Smith
Antwone Smith

Roberto Garcia (30-3) vs. Antwone Smith (21-3-1)

Boxing360’s Pick: This is going to be a war. These two are not defensive wizards. More like they are all about the offensive. Smith takes this one late via TKO.

James de la Rosa
James de la Rosa

Tyrone Brunson (21-1-1) vs. James De La Rosa (20-1)

Boxing360’s Pick: Talk about a crossroads fight. Brunson is the guy who beat Valero’s first round knockout record by fighting even worse guys than Valero did. De La Rosa has not panned out the way his early promise suggested. Both men look to prove they are better than their losses. I am going with De la Rosa. He has better boxing skills so he takes this one by UD.
