The MGM Grand, Las Vegas, NV

(HBO PPV)

floyd-mayweather

Floyd Mayweather Jr. (41-0, 25 KOs) vs. Victor Ortiz (29-2-2, 22 KOs)

Tito’s Pick: Floyd Mayweather is the best matchmaker in the game. he saw what he needed to do in order to be successful with Ortiz. He is too smart, too good, too technically sound. Ortiz is too flawed and his power is good but not great. Floyd wins this by tenth round TKO.

Erik-Morales

Erik Morales (51-7, 35 KOs) vs. Pablo Cano (22-0-1, 17 KOs)

Tito’s Pick: I haven’t seen Cano other than a couple youtube clips. I have to believe that he was picked for a reason. Morales UD.

jessie-vargas

Jessie Vargas (16-0, 9 KOs) vs. Josesito Lopez (29-3, 17 KOs)

Tito’s Pick: I don’t know about this one. One one hand, Lopez is battle tested and has come up short a few times. On the other, I don’t know just how good or ordinary Vargas is. I do think this will be a very good fight.  I’ll pick Vargas by decision in a close one.

Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA

(HBO PPV)

Saul-Alvarez 1

Saul Alvarez (37-0-1, 27 KOs) vs. Alfonso Gomez (23-4-2, 12 KOs)

Tito’s Pick: Canelo  by 5th round KO. He is too big and too good for the too small and not so good Gomez.

At The BlueWater Casino, Parker, AZ

(FOX Sports)

mercito_gesta

Mercito Gesta (22-0-1, 12 KOs) vs. Manuel Perez (16-6-1, 4 KOs)

Tito’s Pick: I think this might go a few rounds but Gesta will take it inside the distance.

workout

Jose Benavidez (12-0, 11 KOs) vs. Dedrick Bell (6-9, 4 KOs)

Tito’s Pick: Last minute replacement + top prospect = Benavidez by second round knockout.
